And now...... May we present to you...

THOMAS PAINE (1737 - 1809)  72 yrs  (wikipedia)

He was an English-born American political activist, philosopher, political theorist,

and revolutionary. One of the Founding Fathers of the United States, he authored

(while imprisoned for his beliefs) the two most influential pamphlets at the start of

the American Revolution and inspired the patriots in 1776 to declare independence

from Great Britain.

His ideas reflected Enlightenment-era ideals of transnational human rights

Paine has a claim to the title The Father of the American Revolution, which rests

on his pamphlets, especially "Common Sense", which crystallized sentiment for

independence in 1776.... and eventual formation of the US CONSTITUTION.

Most notable, and purposefully overlooked today....

his statement - "In short, independence is the only bond that can tie and keep us together"

... is truthfully brilliant and all encompassing.     ("Common Sense" pg 31,3rd par)

His principles, in conjunction with a dutiful Christian respect for the Living GOD and humanity....

     makes it all work.
